Stanley was the youngest son of Cell and Sabra (Robinson) Cutshaw.
He had one son, Ernest, with his wife Edna and one daughter, Dolores, with Christel Schwarz.
Stan was born in Marietta, Ohio and when young and until he was about 40 years old, he was known by his middle name Dorus. After getting married in Columbus, Ohio in 1923, he and his wife Edna moved to Canton, Ohio where their son Ernest (later known as Cutty) was born in 1925. In 1927 the young family moved to Detroit, Michigan where Dorus worked as a steam pipe fitter. He later became a successful businessman and moved to Florida in the 1960's (where he known as Stan) and later retired to enjoy the Florida sunshine and orange trees that he grew.
Stan enjoyed Christmas and in some years in the 1960's won house decorating awards for his home in Orlando.
