Terry Allen Weaver, 64, of Hutsonville, IL, died at 6:35 a.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN following a hard-fought battle with lung cancer. He was born June 29, 1951 in Vincennes, IN, the son of Robert Norris Weaver, Sr. & Mildred Allee Weaver, both of whom survive.

He married Sandra Jean Gray on June 21, 1974, and she survives. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Chad & Stephenie Weaver (Hutsonville); by his daughter, Kerri Jo Pruitt (Hutsonville); by his grandchildren, Maci Jo Pruitt, Tucker Wade Pruitt, Camri Rose Pruitt, Jordan Hope Weaver, Andrew Corbin Weaver, and Isaac Taps Weaver; by his brother and sister-in-law Bobby & Carolyn Weaver (Flat Rock), brother and sister-in-law Richard & Shane Weaver (Flat Rock), and sister and brother-in-law Patti & Mark Hollinshead (Texas) by his brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Mike & Marcia Gray (Hutsonville); by his mother-in-law, Marcella Gray (Hutsonville) and by his sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Lisa & Greg Siverly (Hutsonville).

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Bill Gray, and by his nephew, Trevor Wade Siverly.

Terry was a 1969 graduate of Robinson High School. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne from 1971-1973. Following his service, he joined Operating Engineers Local #841, and quickly earned a reputation for being a gifted and trusted operator. He became the director of the Apprenticeship and Training Program for Local #841 before retiring in 2011 after many years in that position. By the time he retired, he had been a member of Local #841 for over 40 years.

Away from work, he enjoyed woodworking, and could often be found in his workshop. He was a member of the Hutsonville Fire Department for 20 years, of which, 10 years were spent as Fire Chief. In later years, much of his time was spent with his beloved grandchildren. In November 2015, Terry accepted the Lord as his Savior. He will long be remembered for his calm and humble nature. His joy and kindness will be missed by all who knew him.

A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5th at the funeral home, with Pastor David Vaughn officiating the service. A graveside service will follow at the Hutsonville Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted. Memorials may be made to the Terry Weaver Hutsonville Youth Enrichment Fund, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
