Gloria Mae Adams Harper Kinston-Gloria Mae Adams Harper, 78, of 107 East Peyton Avenue passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She retired as a seamstress with Albain Shirt Factory with over 25 years of service and worked as a nurse's aide with Tarheel Home Health.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rayford C. Adams, Sr. and Gertrude Baysden Adams, her husband, Wayne Harper, her sister, Minnie Marie Adams and her brothers, Sonia Adams, Victor Adams and RC Adams, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 from the chapel of Garner Funeral Home with Reverend Neal Hearn officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara A. Ball and husband, Charles, Jr. of Trenton and two granddaughters, Lauren Roberts and husband, Andrew of Wilmington and Katelyn Ball of Trenton.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 903 B Wellness Drive, Greenville NC 27834.
