Mr. Edwin “Ed” Haygood, 68, of Resaca, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at the residence. He was a lifelong member of the Canaanland Baptist Church.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, Wilburn Haygood; and his mother, Ollie Lou Defoor Haygood.
Survivors include his wife, Mable Haygood; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Larry Wilson of Dalton, LeaAnn and Patrick Burns of Calhoun; sisters, Jimmie Lou Dutton of Resaca, Mildred Hudson of Chatsworth, and Talma Jean Crowe of Cartersville; grandchildren, Aaron Wilson and Tony Burns; and nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Canaanland Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Jenkins and the Rev. Isaac Johns officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 4:30 to 9 p.m.
