EUREKA - Alberta "June" Peterson, of Eureka, died Sept. 20, 2006, at Greenwood County Hospital at the age of 76.

She was born June 6, 1930, in rural Arkansas, the daughter of Travis and Anna Avery. She was a member of the New Life Assembly of God and the Christian & Congregational Church.

She is survived by three sons, Charles E. Peterson, Hutchinson, Marian E. Peterson, Overland Park, and Rodney G. Peterson, Colorado; two daughters, Pamela S. Bowman, Tennessee, and Stephanie and Edward Findley, and grandchildren, Tristin, Jarred, Jennifer, Travis and Daphne Findley, all of the home; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Doris Swenson and Myrtle Robinson, both of Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Othal Leon Peterson; four brothers; and three sisters.
