Sis retired in 1980 as head teller from the former Dauphin Deposit Bank & Trust Company, Columbia. She previously had been employed by the Columbia Boro School District where she held the position of financial secretary. A lifetime and devoted member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Columbia, she also was active in the Episcopal Church Women Group.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Tracy wife of Tom Witmer; James M. Resch; Steven M. Resch and his wife, Tracey; Barbara L. Wertz; great grandchildren, Margaret Witmer, Steven M. Resch, Jr. and Joshua M. Resch; brother, Milton "Sonny" Helm. Her daughter, Bonnie Baxter Resch Wertz and siblings Harlan Helm and Betty Lou Helm preceded her in death.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Requiem Eucharist from St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 340 Locust St. Columbia PA 17512 on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. J. Patrick Peters, officiating. Interment in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may view at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Kindly omit flowers.
