Phyllis Renzi D'Arrigo, 83, of Syracuse passed away on Friday at James Square with her family by her side. She was born in Syracuse to the late Fred and Viola Renzi and was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. Phyllis enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and was loved by all who knew her. She is predeceased by her husband, John D'Arrigo; sisters, Pauline Smallwood and Mary Gentile; brother, John Renzi; and son-in-law, Terrance VanMarter. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie VanMarter of Syracuse; son, Daniel (April) D'Arrigo of North Syracuse; sisters, Margaret Detran of Liverpool and Rose Snyder of Syracuse; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday 9:45 a.m. at FARONE & SON Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park St. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
