Myrtle Evans, 90, of Karen Acres Nursing Home, 3605 Elm Drive, Urbandale, died of a respiratory ailment there Monday. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Van Meter Cemetery.
Mrs. Evans was born in Lamoni and had lived in the Des Moines area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by a son, Carl of Clive; two daughters, Juanita Hansen of Urbandale and Beverly Bartels of Sugar Creek, Mo.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, John.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa. Brooks Funeral Care in Clive is handling arrangements.
