Sunday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries
Funeral Home. God called one of his special angels to be with him and Jeffrey answered his call to spend eternity with God our father on Aug. 21, 2001, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus.

Jeffrey Nolan Sheppard was born June 21, 1992, in Davenport, to Nolan M. Sheppard and Sandra "Lynn" Young-Sheppard. Although he was only with us for 9 years, he lived a full life and touched many lives. His hobbies included swimming, cars, dinosaurs, baseball, football, shopping for toys, playing Nintendo and Playstation, visiting John Deere Commons and Bettendorf Family Museum, reading, drawing and making new friends. A stranger to Jeffrey was only a friend he had yet to meet. He played right field for Rudy's Emeis Little League and played on the Davenport Y Cowboys flag football team. Jeffrey enjoyed life and ensured those around him enjoyed life. He would have been a fourth-grader at Wilson Elementary School. Jesus said unto his disciples, "Let the little children come to me and do not forbid them, for such is the kingdom of heaven." John 19:14.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder), Q.C. Chapter, Attn: Treasurer Brian Foy, 3392 Spinning Wheel Court, Muscatine, IA 52761, (563) 263-5816; Emeis Little League; or Wilson School.

Fond memories of Jeffrey will be remembered by his parents, Nolan Sheppard and Lynn Young-Sheppard, Davenport; sisters, Katrina Binion, Rochester, N.Y., LeAnne Binion, Moline, and Nicole Robinson, East Moline; brother, Christopher D. Young, at home; paternal grandmother, Mary Crawford, Davenport; maternal grandparents, William and Emma Jean Young, Davenport; a special nephew, DeJohn; best friends, Brian and Nicholas; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. His grandfather, Arthur Crawford, preceded him in death.
