Lester Aowen Gee, 74, of Spanish Fork, Utah passed away Monday, Jan. 5, 2004 in Payson, Utah after an eight year battle with leukemia.
Lester was born December 14, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James Arthur and Ruth Merriam Gee. He married Blanch Bradford October 1, 1948 in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 14, 1956.
He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was always true to his faith, his sweetheart, his children, and duties. He often gave of himself for loved ones and others. Even through his illness he was faithful in genealogy extraction, home teaching, and temple attendance.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years; his brother, Lawrence Gee (NaDean); his children: David Gee (Alauna), Kenneth Gee (Karen), Pauline Miller (Jay), Lorraine Gee and Rachelle Gee. His grandchildren are Rebecca Gee, Jonathan Gee (Virginia), Nathan Gee, Katherine Gee, Jennifer Gee, Roy Miller (Krystal), Wade Miller, and Deanna Miller.
A viewing will be held at Walker Family Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork, from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2004. There will also be a viewing on Thursday, January 8, 2004 at the Mount Loafer Ward Chapel, 275 South 1400 East, Spanish Fork, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral services which begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion.
