Born November 18, 1922 in Nicholas County to the late Everett and Callie Myers Hill, she was the former head teller for the First National Bank of
Carlisle, a florist assistant at both Small's Greenhouse and Horn's florist,
former President of thr Carlisle Community Woman's Club and a
Grand Worthy Matron of the Marie Chapter O.E.S.
Gladys dedicated a large part of her life to the Carlisle United Methodist
Church, where she was a lifelong Sunday School Teacher, an active participant in the Kitchen Ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Bobby Duncan, sister,
Mary Cord, and brothers, Billy and Chester Hill.
She is survived by daughter, Susie, four grandchildren, seventeen great-
grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren .
Funeral service at Carlisle United Methodist Church with Rev. Rocky Wallace, Rev. Denise Wallace and Rev. James Doughton.
Burial in Carlisle Cemetery.
