YOUNGSTOWN - Richard B. Dorman, 86, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012, at his home after a long illness.
He was born July 12, 1925, in Youngstown to Albert and Mabel (Krimmer) Dorman.
Mr. Dorman retired from Saramar Aluminum in 1988, where he was a tool and die maker. He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Youngstown. He served in the U.S. Navy during World WarII.
He was married to Alice Louise (Daugherty) on Aug. 21, 1976.
In his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by six brothers; his first wife, Judy (Cook); and a son, Gary W. of Naples, Fla.
Richard is survived by his wife, Alice; his son, James of Boardman; daughter-in-law Sandy; stepson Joseph Daugherty of Youngstown and stepson David Daugherty of Columbiana; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 25 nieces and nephews; and 50 great-nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at St. Angela Merici (Sacred Heart Church) in Youngstown, at 2 p.m.
