Kathy, 49, passed away on May 5, 2016. Kathy was born to Dwain and Jane Thacker on May 29, 1966 in Oklahoma City. Kathy attended Living Word Academy where she met Randy whom she married after graduation. From this union was born the adored Alyssa. Kathy was a stay at home mom until Alyssa started school. She worked for Crime Victim Crisis Center in Abilene, Texas and then worked in the insurance industry for 10+ years. Kathy is survived by her daughter, Alyssa Matthews, her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Kimberley and Michael Berry, her father-in-law, Melvin Matthews, her brothers-in-law, Bryce Matthews and Todd Matthews. Kathy is also survived by several nieces and nephews whom she adored, as well as a large extended family and many friends on whose lives she had a great impact. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shelli Rene Thacker, her mother-in-law, Reta Mathews, and her husband of 30 years, Randy. A memorial service for Kathy will be held May 21, 2:30 pm at the Southern Ridge Church of Christ, 2237 SW 134th St., Oklahoma City.
