Carolyn Frazier Parks was born in Ft. Smith AR on May 7, 1942. She grew up in Waldron, AR, and then moved to Edmond, OK. In 1973 she met and married J.H. Parks and they were married for 43 years.
She worked retail most of her life and was a devoted wife and mother with a strong Christian faith that she passed on to her family. She loved to shop, and was an avid collector of knick knacks.
She found great pleasure in displaying pictures and telling stories of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and Jay enjoyed traveling, and went to every relative's high school graduation across the country.
There was no one that loved the holidays more than Carolyn, especially Christmas! She was like a kid in a candy store with all of the decorating and gift giving that brought her so much joy.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; Kenneth and Charlene Frazier. She is survived by her husband, J. H. Parks; children, Lavonda James of Edmond; Darrell & Lyn James, Edmond, OK, children Connor, Carson, Cameron and Caity; Steve & Angie James, OKC, OK, children Jenny, and McKenzie; John Derrick Ward of Edmond, OK; Preston & Charmin Parks, children Brandon, Greg, Patrick, Taylor, and Dale of MD; Clifton & Kim Parks, of Fort Smith, AR, children Scott, Kyle, Chad, Zack and Amy, Grandson Scott & Jennifer Frazier, of OKC, OK daughter Ashley. Siblings: Kenny & Janice Frazier; Bobby Don & Joyce Frazier; Vylinda & Monte Dauphin; Joe & Terri Frazier; and many great grandchildren and friends.
