Shayné Lauree Bentler, 14, of Bonaparte, Iowa, passed away on October 14, 2006 at her home.
Born May 26, 1992 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa she was the daughter of Michael and Sandra Mendez Bentler.
Survivors include one brother Shawn Bentler of Quincy, Illinois, grandparents Darlene Bentler of Houghton, Gervase and Mollie Bentler of Bonaparte, and Mr. and Mrs. Eusebio (Abie) Mendez of Fort Madison, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her great–grandparents Vincenté and Maria Mendez, George and Ina Angell, and Fred and Veronica Bentler.
Shayné was a freshman at Harmony High School where she was active in basketball, track, softball, and Art Club. She was an avid outdoors person who loved to hunt and go boating.
