Darrell Ray Edwards, Sr.

Darrell Ray Edwards, Sr. 88 of DeBary passed away May 2, 2016 at Halifax Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Care Center in Orange City.

He was born in Averyville, IL on August 20, 1927 and served in the US Merchant Marines during World War II. Darrell was a truck driver for Senca and attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in DeBary.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Leota Edwards; sons, Gary Edwards and Darrell Edwards, Jr.

Survivors include a son, Larry Edwards; daughters Terry Bell, Connie Common, Carol Costa and Patricia Banta; brother Jerry Edwards; sister Jenny Cole; 20 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

funeral service will be held on Friday, May 6th at 1pm at Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel in Orange City, with a visitation from 12-1pm prior to service.
