"Some advice--- when researching the Buttery family, accept the various spellings--Buttry, Buttrey, Butry, etc. Census takers and others have misspelled our name for years. If you access my tree on ancestry.com you can find much of our family back to about 1800. I use the spelling of Buttry which is mine but was misspelled on my birth certificate as Buttery with my parents as Buttry."
