Funeral Services for Patsy McBroom James, 82 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for Saturday May 7, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church of Leonard. Rev. Adam Spore and Charles Wrenn will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation will be Friday May 6, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.
Patsy was born May 1, 1934 in the Savage Community near Leonard. Her parents were Virgil Solomon and Dorothy Marsalete Cozby McBroom. She married Jimmy Roy James October 26, 1951 at Bonham. She worked as a photo technician and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Leonard, as well as a founding member of the Leonard Emergency Aid Program. She passed away at her residence Thursday May 5, 2016.
She is survived by her daughter: Pam Savage Sagely of Leonard; her sons and daughters-in-law: Glenn and Terry James of Leonard and Gerald and Denise James ofFt.Worth; her brother and sister-in-law: David and Redonna McBroom of Leonard; her five grandchildren: Corey Savage and wife, Brandi, of Lubbock, Dionna Savage of Coppell, Brittany Nicole James of Melissa, Bryan Glenn James and wife, Mikayla, of Leonard, Dawn Bratcher and husband, David, of Quinlan; her 8 great-grandchildren: Jaxon Savage, Braxton Savage, Ethan James-Cox, Carter Anderson, Titus James, Skyler Tripp, Stormie Tripp and Rebecca Bratcher.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Reece and Minnie McBroom and a nephew, Joel Ray McBroom.
