Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Guthrie, born in Milam Co., TX - Daughter of Samuel David Guthrie and Margaret Elizabeth Harris.

Sister of James, Thomas, William C, Ulyssis L, W B, Martha, Carrie L, Annie Jane, Mannie, Samuel, Nealie Cornelia and Richard Leonard "Doc" Guthrie.

Mollie married, 18 Dec 1877 in Milam Co., TX, Thomas Jefferson "Bunk" Locklin, a son of William Lawson Locklin Sr and Nancy Mercer.

Mother of 3 Infants (all born between 1877-1910 and died before 1910), Nancy Thomas, A James "A J", Jessie D and Ethel Amanda Locklin.

Granddaughter of John Franklin Guthrie Sr & Mary Swoap and John F Harris & Polly Schrope.

Mollie died in Milam Co., TX.

Mrs. T. J. Locklin, 84, died Thursday, Feb. 24, and funeral services were held from the First Baptist church in Rockdale at 2:30 p. m. Friday, with the Rev. James W. Askew, pastor, and the Rev. H. E. Crone, pastor of the Christian church, officiating.

Burial was made in the historic old Locklin cemetery near San Gabriel.

Mary E. Locklin was born March 6, 1860. She was married to T. J. Locklin in December 13, 1877, and to this union four children were born, three daughters and one son. Her husband, son and one daughter preceeded [sic] her in death.

Two daughters, Mrs. J. L. Daniels of Rockdale, and Mrs. U. P. Boswell of Lexington, eight grand children and seven great grandchildren survive.

She was converted and joined the Baptist church in early life, remaining faithful until the Savior called her.
