Ronald was the son of Samuel and Mary(Ayers)Waggoner. Ron grew up in Yakima and Parker Heights, graduating Yakima High School class of 1941. He excelled in football, track, and field during these years. In 1942 Ron attended Washington State College.

Ron entered the U.S.Army in 1943, serving with the 42nd Rainbow Division, 222nd Regement in France and Austria. Ron received the Bronze Star for outstanding courage and devotion to duty.

Ron returned to Yakima where he met and married Goldie I. Collie in 1948. They were blessed with two sons.

Ron worked all his life in the Yakima Valley, earlier years were spent in sales and in 1964 he became self employed. Ron was owner of Cascade Well Drilling where he drilled many wells here in the Valley. He continued in the irrigation business at Morton's Supply, specializing in irrigation systems.

In retirement Ron found enjoyment refurbishing two boats and his motor home. Ron especially enjoyed visiting his sons and their families, in Alaska, where he fished and boated.

Ron also enjoyed flying, for it was his life long dream. Ron was a licensed pilot and owned his own pane in the 1960's. He was extremely proud of his sons who both became pilots and continue his dream through them.

Ron is survived by Goldie I. Howard, sons and daughter in laws; Steve and Kathy, Mark and Linda, grandson; Joe, and grand daughters; Rochelle, and Katie. Sister Phyllis Bulow, nephews Kevin and Jerry and niece Gale Ervin.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Mary and niece Janet Bulow.

Thanks Dad for being you and all the love and support you gave us. You are truly what a Dad is suppose to be all about. We will miss you, love you always.
