He grew up in Istanbul, Turkey since the age of 4. Alan was a vigorous swimmer from an early age and always enjoyed being at the ocean. Alan showed a talent for art and in later years became a prolific painter.
Survivors: He is survived by sisters Kathleen of Washington State and Margaret of New Jersey; brothers Douglas of Oregon and Barry of Allentown and nephews Christopher and Hendrik.
Services: graveside Monday, May 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Cemetery, 3441 Devonshire Rd., Allentown 18103 with Rev. Rodney Wells officiating. Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
