Obituary

Franklin Delano Fink, 77, of Kingsport, gave up the struggle to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at his home. Born in Washington County, TN, he lived in this area all his life. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and retired from Eastman Chemical Company following 29 years of service. Frank was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Fall Branch, where he played a very active part in service to others. He loved woodworking and gardening, having a large green thumb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Eleanor Fink, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers.

Frank is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dawn Fink; daughter, Debbie Dirmeyer and husband Drew; grandchildren, Joseph, Haley, William and Steven Dirmeyer; sisters, Hazel Chase of Kingsport, Shirley Catron of Richmond, and Nellie Pike of Sumter, SC; brothers, Clay Fink of Kingsport, and Jacob Fink of Colorado Springs,CO; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 pm on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Ron Owens officiating. Burial will follow in The Fink Family Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
