Daniel James Dickey, 38, of Kiski Township died Sunday (March 24, 2002) in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin.

Born Jan. 15, 1964, in Harrison, he lived in Kiski Township all his life.

He was a self-employed mechanic.

Survivors include his mother, Loretta June Varner Dickey Lange of Kiski Township; his stepfather, William Lange of Kiski Township; a brother, Arthur Dickey of Kiski Township; two sisters, Cindy "Louise" Jackson of Apollo and Brenda Shellhammer of Avonmore; two stepbrothers, William Lange Jr. of Burrell Township and Michael Lange of Kiski Township; his maternal grandmother Louella "Jane" Varner of Kiski Township; and his fiancee with whom he lived, Cynthia Collins.

He also is survived by his fiancee's daughter, Teresa Collins at home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Dickey; his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Edna Dickey; and his maternal grandfather, Leonard Varner.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 100 Owens Drive, Apollo, where services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Officiating will be the Rev. Charles Horn. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Presbyterian Cemetery, (AKA Fairview Cemetery), Spring Church.
