David Ralph Locke, age 69 of Albion passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Bronson Battle Creek
in Battle Creek, MI. He was born December 29, 1946 to Ralph Everett and Dorothy May (Sebastian) Locke Sr. in Albion, Michigan. He graduated from Albion High School in 1965. On November 29, 1969 he married Carol Ann Arquette who survives.
David was a Police Officer with the Jackson City Police Department. David has worked in Law Enforcement from 1970 to present. He was a very loving man and always put others first. David was a man of "class" and truly "genuine". He always found ways to build people up and looked for the best in others. David loved writing books, reading, and working in the yard with trees and rocks. He was also highly respected by his peers and adversaries in his law enforcement work, often being referred to as "coach" and was a "father figure" to many.
David is survived by;
Wife- Carol Locke
Daughter- Michelle Locke
Son- David Locke Jr.
Grandson- Luke Buffington
Brother- Ralph (Teresa) Locke Jr.
Sisters- Sharon Kay (Floyd) Cooper
Joanne (Dale) Baum
Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM
at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 100 Luther Blvd, Albion. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday,
May 10th at 1:00PM at the church with Pastor Dennis Matyas officiating. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the
Jackson Police Honor Guard.
