Joann "Jody" Caton 83, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in a Saint Joseph, Missouri, health care center. She was born January 19, 1933 in St. Joseph, Missouri, daughter of Ada and R.B. Hollingsworth. She graduated from Benton High School 1950 and worked at the Stockyards Bank, Farmers State Bank, and the Heritage Bank prior to retiring from the Buchanan County Circuit Court. She was a member of Sparta United Methodist Church, and in recent years alternated attendance between Hyde Valley United Methodist, Wesley United Methodist Church and Sparta United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Alpha Joy Circle of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed faithfully serving in her church organizations. Joann was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Patrick "Pat" Lewis Caton, two sons, Jeffrey Clark Caton, and Jack Scott Caton, brother, Arthur B. Hollingsworth, sister, Bettie Jeanne Hollingsworth-Bailey, sisters-in-law, Berniece, Lavon, and Mildred Hollingsworth, and brother-in-law, Irwin Bailey. Survivors include, three daughters, Cheryl Anderson, Janie (Louie) Martinez of Saint Joseph, Missouri, and Patti Jo (Wayne) Halter of Kansas City, Missouri, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, two brothers, Donald Hollingsworth of Maryville, Missouri, and Riley "Bud" Hollingsworth of St. Joseph, Missouri, dear friend, Michel Guernsey of St. Joseph, Missouri, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. . Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 AM Monday at the Wesley United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
