The former Ellen Mary McKee was born on October 9, 1921 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Hilda (Kippis) McKee. She entered the Convent in 1940 and professed her vows in 1943. Sister John Bosco earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing Education at St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri. Sister John Bosco served as an elementary teacher at St. Joseph School, Green Bay; nursing instructor at Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio, and Holy Family School of Nursing, Manitowoc. She served as a staff nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio; St. Joseph Home, West Point, Nebraska; St. Paul Home, Kaukauna, Wisconsin; and St. Rita Health Center, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. After retiring from the nursing profession, she performed various tasks at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, and San Damiano Convent, Slinger, Wisconsin. Since 2003, she had been residing in St. Rita Health Center. She is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; a sister-in-law: Phyllis McKee, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters-in-law: Hartman John (Molly) McKee, Andrew, Robert (Marian) McKee, Thomas (Valla Gene) McKee and Louis McKee.
