NELSON, Cora Mae (Dewberry) 96, passed away in her home in North Las Vegas, NV surrounded by her family April 24, 2016. A home going celebration will be held Saturday, May 7, 11 am, at St. John Cathedral, 3401 E. 25th Ave., Tampa, with Pastor Dwight Newkirk, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Cora is survived by her children, Thomas Nelson (Valarie) of North Las Vegas, NV and Terry Nelson of Greensboro, NC; granddaughters, Angel Spivey of Bainbridge, GA, Shantana Nelson of Tampa, and Sherrell Cotton of Tampa; grandson, Fredrick Nelson of North Las Vegas, NV; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Dewberry (Peggy) of Griffin, GA and Samuel Dewberry (Della) of Greensboro, NC; a host of nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing Friday, May 6, 5-8 pm, at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa. Friends are asked to assemble at the church Saturday at approximately 11:45 am.
