Lyda was born on November 11, 1929 in Neosho, Mo., the daughter of the late Roy and Thelma (Turner) Lansaw.
She has been a lifetime area resident. She graduated from Joplin High School.
She married Frank E. Carrico on March 7, 1948. Together they raised four children. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a former resident at Carl Junction Residential Care and was currently living at Joplin Gardens.
Lyda was a Christian and attended Church services at both care facilities. She was a member of the V.F.W. Lady’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing Bingo.
Lyda is survived by; one daughter, Donna Honey and husband John, Joplin; three sons, Frank Carrico, Miami, Ok., Paul Carrico and wife Cindy, Joplin, and Ron Carrico and wife Tammy, Carl Jct., Mo.; two brothers, Johnny Lansaw, Joplin and Leroy Lansaw and wife Lana, Joplin; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank E. Carrico on October 6, 1998; three brothers, Robert, Raymond and Herbie Lansaw; and two sisters, Janie Klug and Frances Lansaw.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Reverend Bobby Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
