Inez Schuetz was born on December 22, 1918, in Springdale, Ark., to Orlen Sherman and Frankie Mary (Quick) Singleton. Her siblings include Charles Singleton of Tacoma, Washington, Lois Thoman of Lima, Ohio and Ruby Hoback of Carlinville.
She married Gale F. Schuetz on Aug. 16, 1947, at Shattuc, Illinois. Her children include Mary E. O'Cull of Carbondale and Gaila J. Neathery and Susan Kay Grimes, both of Grand Tower.
Mrs. Schuetz was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grand Tower and the Retired Teachers Association. She was an elementary school teacher in Grand Tower, Gorham, Grimsby and in Clinton County. She retired in 1977.
