Born on May 6, 1939 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Elizabeth Edelen Parker and Raphael C. E. Parker Jr.
Mrs. Beswick retired from the Prince George’s County School Board in 2004 after 29 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jerry P. Beswick; sisters, Dorothy E. Meinhardt and Josephine E. Earnshaw.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah and her husband Daniel Baden of Hughesville, MD, Linda and her husband William Burgess of Murrells Inlet, SC, Pamela and her husband Lesley “Dusty” Cassidy of Waldorf, MD; grandchildren: Gregory Baden, Tara Baden Fisher, Kyle Rounsavall, Keri Rounsavall, Korey Rounsavall, Parker Burgess and Phillip Burgess; great grandson Dean Rounsavall.
Visitation on Wednesday, May 11, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Ave., La Plata, MD 20646.
Mass will be offered on Thursday, May 12, beginning 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 13401 Piscataway Road, Clinton, MD 20735.
Interment to follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
