US Soldier killed at the Battle of the Little Big Horn. Pvt Sicfous enlisted into the US Army on October 4, 1875, in Pittsburgh, PA. He was described as 5"5" tall, gray eyes, light hair with a fair complexion. His civilian occupation was painter. On October 21, 1875, Sicfous was assigned to Company F, 7th US Cavalry Regiment at Ft. Lincoln, Dakota Territory. Company F was commanded by Captain George Yates. At the Battle of the Little Bighorn, Company F was attached to LTC George A Custer's Battalion. Sicfous was killed during the battle. His remains were never identified. It is likely that his body was first buried where it had been found on the battlefield. In 1881 all known battlefield burials were moved to a mass grave on Last Stand Hill.
On the Mass Grave Monument, Sicfous' name is misspelled and reads Siclous.
