Lorene Claire Guthery was born on March 20, 1928 in Navina, Oklahoma to Orvin and Lillie Anderson.
After graduating from Guthrie High School she moved to Oklahoma City and went to work for the phone company.
She met Bill Guthery at 40 Street Baptist Church and they were married in Nov., 1949. Bill and Lorene joined Britton Baptist Church in June of 1951 and were members until their deaths. Lorene was active in the XYZ group at Britton Baptist.
Bill and Lorene bought Nichols Hills Cleaners in April of 1969 and worked until her retirement.
She is survived by:
sons Raymond Eugene Guthery of Edmond, and Billy Bob Guthery, Jr. of Oklahoma City;
along with one granddaughter Savannah Guthery
and three great grandchildren: Kenzie Lovelace, Kaden McCollom, and Kalleigh Cogswell.
She is preceded in death by:
her mother,
father,
husband Billy Bob Guthery, Sr.,
brother Gene Anderson
and sister LaVonne Hoel.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. at Britton Baptist Church on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, with interment at Britton Cemetery following.
