He was born on September 21, 1940 a son of John and Alice (Murphy) Murphy. On May 19, 1984 he married Lucille A. Gagne.
Barry served his country in the United States Army, upon returning Home he obtained his GED in Portsmouth New Hampshire. He was an avid runner participating in marathons, he also enjoyed bike riding and he could often be found working on projects around his home.
He is survived by his wife Lucille (Gagne) Murphy, three sons, John and his wife Debbie, Thomas and his wife Susan, Barry and his wife Abby, also by one daughter Nancy and one step-daughter Dawn. Barry is also survived by nine grand children.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016, at 1:00PM at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are under the care of Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
