Earl Barnett, age 66 of Newton passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at Catawba Valley Medical Center, Hickory. Born September 26, 1949 in Transylvania County he was the son of the late Gus Barnett and the late Virginia Verdie Martin Barnett. Earl worked for Shuford Mills for 26 years. In addition to his parents; his first wife, Helen Barnett, a daughter, Michelle Barnett, and sister Gereldine Barnett preceded him in death.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016 at St. Martins Lutheran Church in Maiden at 4:00 pm
