Eloise C. Jackson, age 85, a lifelong resident of Starke, Florida went to Heaven on May 3, 2016 at Riverwood Health and Rehabilitation with her loving family by her side. Eloise was born in Starke, Florida on January 23, 1931 to the late Zary Crawford and Reba Conner Crawford. She met and married the love of her life, Eddie Taylor Jackson, shortly after attending Bradford County High School. Eloise was a devoted wife and loving mother to her six children. She loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Sampson City Church of God where she enjoyed attending church and worshipping. She was a country woman who enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden, cooking, listening to gospel music, and cheering on the Gators as an avid UF football fan. Most of all, Eloise loved being a homemaker, raising her children, taking care of her grandchildren, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of many years, Eddie T. Jackson, Sr.; her sons, Danny Jackson and Eddie “Man” Jackson, Jr.; her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Jackson; her brothers, Harold, Gerald, and Kenneth Crawford; and her sisters, Hazel Rhoden, Bernice Jackson, and Yvonne Boone.

Eloise is survived by her loving children, David (Janet) Jackson and Michael (Dianna) Jackson both of Starke, FL, and Diana (Richard) Fili of Lake Butler, FL; her grandson who she raised like a son, Darren (Heather) Jackson of Starke, FL; her brothers, Ronald (Susie) Crawford of Ft. Walton Beach, FL and Larry (Denise) Crawford of Ocala, FL; her sister, Miriam Faulkner of Starke, FL; her grandchildren, Kelley (Steve) Singley, Juli (Jason) Hicks, Cathy Jo (Richie) Skelly, Casey (Kevin) Mueller, Amy (Steve) Carter, Chrissy (Robert) Wheeler, Misty (Alex) Coleman, Morgan (West) Milner, Valarie Jackson, Gage Jackson, Luke Jackson, Garett Jackson, and Lane Jackson; and her 22 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Eloise’s Life will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Sampson City Church of God with Reverend Gene Bass officiating. Interment will follow at Dyal Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Archie Tanner Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
