Unadilla, GA- Joe J. Preston, Jr., 91, of Unadilla, died Monday at his residence.
Born in Hawkinsville, he was the son of the late Joe J. and Freddie E. Lassitter Preston. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and retired from Robins Air Force Base. Joe was a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla, the Charles Speight Sunday School Class and served as a Deacon over 50 years.
Survivors: wife, Annie Lou Thompson Preston of Unadilla; children, Beverly Reed of Pinehurst, Joe Lynn Preston of Unadilla, Jeffrey Preston of Unadilla and Freddy Preston of Moreland; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Thursday in First Baptist Church of Unadilla with interment in Walnut Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
