Cindy Lee Kilpatrick (Turner) of East Tawas, formerly of Detroit, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Iosco County Medical Care Facility, age 74 years. Cindy was born on October 8, 1941 in Detroit to Stanley and Margaret (Broskey) Turner. She worked for 10 years in insurance sales and reception at Myles Insurance Agency, retiring in 1994. Cindy married Richard Kilpatrick on January 5, 1980, and together they celebrated 36 beautiful years of marriage! She and Rich enjoyed traveling in their motorhome across the country over the past 20 years enjoying their retirement years. Cindy also loved doing crossword puzzles, bowling, going to casinos, cooking and baking, and spending time with her family and friends. Cindy was a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers and she will truly be missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love her. Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Richard Kilpatrick of Tawas; daughter, Karen Collins-Parker and her husband Charles Parker of Ohio; son, Scott Collins of East Tawas; 1 granddaughter, Samantha Ford of Ohio; 1 brother, Stanley Turner and his wife Bernice of Ann Arbor; 4 nephews, Dave Turner, Chris Turner, Matt Turner, and Jim Turner all of Ann Arbor; and many dear friends. Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Margaret Turner. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and her family will host a celebration of her life at a later date this spring / summer with a date and time to be announced. She will be laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery in East Tawas. An online guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com. Cremation arrangements are by the Buresh Funeral Home of Tawas City.
