Wilma Sue Lambert
(November 25, 1940 - May 3, 2016)

Wilma Sue Lambert, 75, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. She was a resident of Sweetwater.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Lamar Street Baptist Church with Reverend Keith Clifton, Reverend Clay Jacobson and Reverend Billy Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories.

Mrs. Lambert was born in Coleman, Texas on November 25, 1940. She married Raymond Lambert on August 3, 1957 in Sweetwater, Texas. Sue was a member of Lamar Street Baptist Church where she served as secretary off and on for several years. She lived in Sweetwater since 1952 (7th grade). Sue graduated from Sweetwater Newman High School in 1957. She worked and retired from Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) for 25 years as a Case Manager.

Survivors include: Husband- Raymond Lambert of Sweetwater, TX; Son- Scott Lambert and wife, Carla, of Sweetwater, TX; 2 Daughters- Ramona Lambert of Sweetwater, TX, Julie Montgomery and husband, Shawn, of Sweetwater, TX; Brother- J.V. Martin, Jr. and wife, Betty, of Sweetwater, TX; 11 Grandchildren- Blaze Lambert and wife, Amy, of Azle, TX, Sean and Skyler Lambert of Ft. Worth, TX, Hillary Foster and husband, R. J., of Sweetwater, TX, Maty and Nolan Montgomery of Sweetwater, TX, Zane, Kyle, and Mackinzie Lambert of Sweetwater, TX; 2 Great-grandchildren- Lake Lambert of Azle, TX and “Baby” Foster of Sweetwater, TX.

She was preceded in death by her son, Sammy Lambert, on March 1, 2011 and her parents, J.V. Martin, Sr. and Lucille Belle (Yates) Martin, on January 13, 2012.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Blaze Lambert, Skyler Lambert, Zane Lambert, Kyle Lambert, Nolan Montgomery and R.J. Foster.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at McCoy Funeral Home.
