Isaac R. Yocam was one of 12 children of George Washington Yocam and Susan Jane Funderburk Yocam. He was born on the Yocam farm northwest of Bean Lake in Platte County, Missouri, on April 23, 1875.

Isaac was married to Minnie Ola Beagle (born 1870) on Oct. 25, 1895 at the Methodist Episcopal Church South at Sugar Lake in Platte Co, Missouri. Isaac's wedding license names D. E. Bailey as his legal guardian as both of his parents had died - his mother just earlier that year. (Daniel Edward Bailey was Isaac's brother-in-law, married to his sister Julia Ann Yocam Bailey.)

Isaac and Minnie had one son, William Jennings Bryan Yocam (1899-1965); see Findagrave Memorial # 12306568). Isaac died when his son William was only two and one-half years old. He was buried with family members in the Yocam Cemetery in the Missouri River bluffs in Platte County, Missouri.

Thanks to Mary Bailey for noting a Harouff/Arensburg Funeral Home record stating the cause of death as typhoid.
