He was born in Norton county, Kansas on January 12, 1878 and was the last member of his family. Mr. Dopps was a retired steel worker and many years ago an employe of the Empire Steel Corp. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rossie Elizabeth Dopps; five sons, Donald, Eugene, James and Harold Dopps, all of Mansfield, and LeRoy Dopps of Detroit; three daughters, Mrs. George Barton of Mansfield, Mrs. Tom Paynter of Mansfield, and Mrs. Carvel Crawford of Portsmouth; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Memorial Thursday in charge of the pastor of the Park Avenue Baptist church. Burial will be in the Mansfield Cemetery.
