Sarah Diane Franklin, age 57 of 121 Beaumont Dr., Danville passed away Monday May 2, 2016 at UNC Hospital. She was born January 16, 1959 in Martinsville, VA to Teddy Franklin and the late Hazel Ramsey Franklin.
Sarah was gifted in many ways. Whether sewing, creating crafts, doing woodwork or beautifully decorating those delicious "Sarah Cakes," she added that special something to everything she touched. Tender hearted and kind, she wanted to take care of everyone. Sarah loved cooking for family and friends. She tirelessly did for others, including her many pets.
In addition to her father she is survived by a daughter, Sierra Franklin of Danville; a son, Stetson Franklin of Danville; a sister, Kathy Wilson and husband Pete of Danville and several Aunts and Uncles.
In November 2015, she proudly completed truck driving school, the only woman in her class.
We are comforted knowing that she is with her Savior, free from pain and hurt, and reunited with her mom, but we have lost a Mother, a Daughter, a Sister, and a Best Friend.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 7,2016 at Norris Funeral Services, Inc., West end Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville, VA 24541 with the Rev. John Carroll officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery, Martinsville, VA.
