Paul S. Sheaffer, 68, of 1236 Spring Road died Thursday in Carlisle Hospital.
He was president and chief executive officer of Sheaffer Brothers Sporting Goods and vice president of Letort Warehouse of Carlisle.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Carlisle Town Band, St. John's Lodge 260, St. John's Royal Arch Chapter 171, Cumberland County Shrine Club, St. John's Commandery 8, Zembo Temple of Harrisburg, Zembo Band and Dance Band.
Also, the Zembo Luncheon Club, Consistory of Harrisburg and its band, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Elks Lodge 578, American Legion Post 101, Veterans' Association 104th Cavalry, American Association of Retired Persons, the Advisory Board for the Carlisle Office of Dauphin Deposit Bank, Carlisle Fish and Game Association and Greater Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce.
Surviving are his wife, Mary A. Call Sheaffer; a son, Paul S. Jr. of Carlisle; a daughter, Judith Marie Derr of Newville RD 3; a sister, Mary E. Hemmenway of Oakland Park, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home here, with the Rev. Howard A. Kerstetter officiating. Burial will be in Kutz's Cemetery, Middlesex Twp.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A Masonic service is scheduled for 8 p.m.
