CARTHAGE — Elsie Monroe, 92, died Sunday, October 27, 2013 at St. Joseph of the Pines in Southern Pines.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive A.M.E. Zion Church.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
She is survived by a son, Willie Monroe (Vanessa), and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
