George Winthrop Lee received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Harvard in 1889. He spent 2 years (1889-1891) in study at the Harvard Law School, then entered business life, and was in charge of the reference library for public utilities of Stone & Webster of Boston. He organized the Boston Cooperative Information Bureau, he was president of the Boston Esperanto Society, and is the author of "The Library and the Business Man," "Handbook on the Trees and Shrubs of Boston," and other works.
