Ann Wilson Vines, age 68, 209 Mountain View Dr., Hampton, died Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. She was a native of Elyria, OH and the daughter of the late Viola Green. Mrs. Vines was a very active member of Long Hollow Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Wilson, one brother, William Green and a sister.

Survivors are her husband, Toney Vines of the home, three daughters, Vicky Lynn Seats, Blountville, Pamela Jean Smith, Elizabethton, Lisa McClellan, Johnson City, one son, Russell "Rusty" Wilson, Jr., West VA, four stepchildren, Anthony Vines, Johnson City, Jeannie Street, Roan Mountain, Kimberly Amy Tucker, Johnson City, Alena Bentley, Elizabethton, twenty-eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one sister, Ruth Kosher, West VA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Vines will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, January 18 in the Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel of Peace with Rev. Russell Potter, Rev. Roy Canter and Pastor James Bentley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday in the chapel prior to the service. Friends may also call at the residence at anytime.

The graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 19 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Those attending are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Cable, Dale Cable, Vick Harrison, Don Byrd, James Anderson, Bill Forbes and James Whaley.

A special thank you is extended to the ICU doctors, nurses and staff of Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Mountain Empire Medical and Surgical doctors and staff and Rev. Russell Potter from the family of Sue Vines.
