Linda Lou Cain age 77 of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Saturday evening April 30, 2016 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis surrounded by her family.
She was born August 3, 1938 in Hillsdale, Michigan daughter of the late Frederick A. and Beryl A. (Howell) Cain.
Linda resided in Sturgis for over 45 years coming from California and her early life was spent in Bronson where she was a graduate of Bronson High School with the class of 1956.
Linda had been employed by G.F. Business Equipment in Sturgis for many years until the company closed. Following the closing of G.F. Business she worked 10 years at the Bleyco Paper Company in Burr Oak. Linda also held the position of manager of the Checker Gas Station, assistant manager of the Speedway Station and her last employment was at the Wal-Mart Murphy Oil Station all in Sturgis.
Linda loved time spent with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren.
She is survived by one daughter: Dee (Walter) Frye of Centreville; one son: Jason (Tammy) Cain of Sturgis; four loving grandchildren: Walter Frye, Jr., Tyler Cain, McKenzie Cain and Rylee Cain; one sister: Edna Bowen of Coldwater and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Dorothy Musselman and Ruth Ann Locke and one brother: Ernie Cain.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. Private graveside services and burial of the ashes will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis at a later date.
