She was born June 4, 1932 in London, Kentucky to Albert & Lucinda (Bundy) Proffitt. Ida was a US Army veteran. She married Harold Curtis on Feb. 14, 1971 and he preceded her in death on May 14, 1997.
Ida worked many years as an upholsterer at Schnadig Corporation in Rushville. She was an avid golfer & bowler. She was a member of the VFW in Okeechobee, FL.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandy Fuller & companion Tom "George" Maple of Rushville, a sister, Verlia Moore of Rushville, granddaughters, Kelly Woolf of Rushville & Holly (Mike) Watt of Franklin and great grandchildren, Chase Woolf, Camdyn Watt & Carter Woolf.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers & 2 sisters.
A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Pastor Garry Jordan presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 11 AM until time of service on Thursday. Military rites will be provided by the Rush County Veteran's Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be given to the VFW of Okeechobee.
