Avid reader was very involved in her church
Christine “Chrissy” Reneé (Dunn) Hess, 49, of Nescopeck Township passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Bloomsburg on Oct. 6, 1966, she was the daughter of LeRoy Clark Hess and the late Janet Elaine (Sponenberg) Hess. She was a graduate of Central Columbia High School. Christine was a homemaker for most of her life.
Christine was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mifflinville. She held various offices in the church throughout the years and was very involved. She also enjoyed reading, providing inspirational quotes to people, collecting Longaberger Baskets and Cherished Teddy Bears, and hosting her annual New Year’s Eve Party. Her greatest love though, was her family, which she immensely loved spending time with.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 33 years, Kevin W. Hess; son, Kevin LeRoy Hess and wife Heather Anne; daughter, Alisha Elaine (Hess) Neidig and husband Nathan; granddaughters, Emma Elaine Neidig and Desyrae Leigh Neidig; sister, LeAnn Elaine (Hess) Conrad and husband Tim; brothers, Timothy Edward Dunn and wife Heather and James Clark Dunn and wife Julie; nieces, Morgan, Mattea and Amber; nephews, Elliot, Tyler and Dale, and grandniece, Bella.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Clark Franklin Hess and Arlene Ryman Hess, and maternal grandparents, Wilber Clark Sponenberg and Helen Mae Sponenberg.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Heller Funeral Home LLC, 633 E. Third St., Nescopeck. The Reverend Brian Vasey will officiate. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until time of the service.
