After their marriage, the couple moved several times while (Edward) Ball served in the Air Force and later graduated from law school. They eventually settled in northern California, where they owned a dinner restaurant on an old sailing ship anchored in San Francisco harbor. Ball (Edward) played in a band aboard the ship until it burned to the waterline. Later, both were employed by Lockheed Aircraft, he as an administrative assistant, she was the head of the industrial nursing department.
Following (Edward) Ball's death in 1995, Mrs. Ball moved to Maui to live with the couple's only son, Donald Jacob Clay Ball, and his children. Services for Mrs. Ball were conducted in Maui. Family members on the mainland only recently received news of her death.

Note: Beverly Noyer married Edward Mauck Ball, July 10, 1942, Delaware Co., Muncie, IN. The marriage registration shows each with previous (secret?) marriage.
