Hannah Carrington was born in 1675 at Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut to John Carrington Jr. and his wife. Hannah married Joshua Holcomb II in 1694 and their children were: Caleb, Joshua III, Thankfull, Experience, Hannah, Eleanor and Matthew. Six days after the birth of Matthew, Hannah died on May 13, 1708 , approximate age of thirty three. She's thought to be buried in the Simsbury area.

Parents of Hannah Carrington: John Carrington II was born about 1640/1642, most likely in Connecticut, to John Carrington and Mrs. John Carrington, who was either his first wife Mary who accompanied him from England to Boston on the ship SUSAN AND ELLEN during the summer of 1635, or his second wife Joane who later was executed with her husband John for witchcraft about March 1651. John II married his wife, most likely Elizabeth Clark, about 1666 in Connecticut and their children were: John, Mary, Hannah, Clark, Elizabeth and Ebenezer. John II died in 1690 at Waterbury, Hartford, Connecticut and is most likely buried in that area. His wife Elizabeth died after John, also in Waterbury.
